Event Recap: Live Music for a Cause – Ericeira, Portugal
On May 24th, Beats for Relief brought its signature blend of culture and compassion to Aethos Ericeira—recently named one of Condé Nast Traveler’s Best Places to Go in 2024. Known for its design-forward aesthetic and surfside soul, Aethos was the perfect backdrop for an evening where every detail had meaning.
From the creamy stone and light wood interiors to the sunset tones on the terrace, the space felt lifted straight from the pages of Architectural Digest. And on this night, it became more than beautiful—it became impactful.
A Night That Sold Out—and Gave Back
The event was completely sold out, with a crowd of locals, travelers, and hotel guests filling the space with energy and purpose. In an incredible gesture of partnership, Aethos donated 20% of the evening’s food and beverage sales to Iguality, a grassroots NGO supporting refugees, LGBTQ+ individuals, and communities facing systemic barriers to dignity and opportunity.
The Lineup
Gabriel Falcão, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, opened the night with a soulful, grounding performance that set the tone for deep listening and shared experience.
Ciara Lea, London-based singer and poet, captivated the room with her signature blend of jazzy grooves and emotional depth. Her EP A lil bit of everything, celebrated in Lisbon, Berlin, and L.A., took on new life here, resonating with every listener.
Closing the night was DJ Alex, a beloved local and Aethos regular, whose vinyl set carried us into the night with effortless energy and magnetic beats.
More Than a Show
Interwoven with moving speeches and community connection, this wasn’t just a concert—it was a call to care. It reminded us how music, space, and purpose can come together to uplift and unite.
Thank you to every person who showed up, danced, listened, and gave.
This is what Beats for Relief is all about: making music matter.
